Metal Carports for a Travel Trailer

copyright www.gaport.comMetal carports for a travel trailer should be tall enough to fit any size travel trailer or recreational vehicle with room to spare. There should be room for the air conditioner that many fifth wheel trailers or RV’s have on top of them once the vehicle is driven under a metal carport.copyright www.gaport.com

4 things affecting price in metal structures are:

  • height
  • width
  • length
  • style choice

Coverage on the sides is another good consideration on a metal carport. copyright www.gaport.comDo you want to shade the sides of your RV shade structure? Do you only want to shade the top of your steel carport? Or do you want to completely enclose the sides? Some people want to close in the sides partially, which can be done as well. There are many options when it comes to metal carports for a travel trailer, and you want to be sure you can see what is out there.

Portable Aluminum Storage Buildings

10′x20′ buckskin and cream©Portable: When a portable storage building is described as such, it should be completely portable. The building should have complete structural integrity. It should be capable of movement with skids and joists on the floor system underneath the building, and effectively, it should have a completely pressure-treated floor system.

The better the floor system in the portable storage building, the better the building. How better to move a portable storage building than to gauge it by its floor support system. So a good floor system is essential. Complete structural integrity encapsulates the fact that it should be throughout the life of the portable storage building.

Strength: When you buy a portable building, of course it should be strong. But what about 5, 10 or 20 years down the road? Will your storage building be PORTABLE at that point? Would a crew or a few guys be able to pull your storage shed out on its skids, load it up and move it without it buckling because of structural ineptitude, years of water damage or a sagging floor?

Important questions when you are considering the purchase of a building that you may just end up replacing, are they not? This is especially true when you are may be storing expensive, personal items in your portable storage building or unit. Remember, the strength of a pressure-treated floor system and a well-made, warrantied building can mean protection for your items – what you want - besides the added strength which is what you need as well.

Integrity: Let’s face it, a portable storage building is not a buy-it-and-toss-it type of purchase. Why not buy a portable storage building that is built to last? My husband always says, “Buy the best, leave the rest.” There are just some things that are worth checking into first and portable buildings is one of them. Like I always write – doing your homework first pays off; there is just integrity in that.

Educated: The shopper benefits by finding a quality item from an educated dealer, then comparison shopping in ahead of time. With portable car ports, there is a savings in do-it-yourself but savings can also be found in shopping around in advance and being an educated consumer.

See INSIDE a Steel Garage – The Educated Consumer

A Sneak Peak:  For some people, it is as simple as seeing inside a steel garage to get better acquainted with the product. If a shopper can see a garage from the inside out, it helps give a better perspective into what exactly it is they might be buying into.

The Educated Consumer:  I always say, “The smart consumer is the educated consumer.” Part of being educated is checking into the product of interest, testimonials from the company you may purchase from, and what may be involved of you as the consumer as well.

What We Want:  If you are like most people, it only makes sense to want to see inside a steel garage before you make the decision as to whether or not to make the choice to buy.

Feedback:  Did this article help you? I hope so!

Steel Industry News

When in the business for a steel structure, it pays to be updated on the latest information. One way to do this is with RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, which deliver to you.

An RSS feed you may find helpful is Steel fabrication industry news (International sheet steel & metal industry news and fabrication sector reports).

An example of staying in touch with the steel industry is highlighted by the article in this Reuters steel and metal Update: “Japan’s third-biggest steel maker, and its Taiwanese partner China Steel Corp said they plan to form a joint venture to produce steel plate in Vietnam.”

As you can see, keeping up on steel industry news means you are a more educated consumer and you can therefore make better choices regarding your steel product of choice.

Testimonials In A Nutshell

What should a company testimonials page say? Do you read company testimonials? To me, this is as important as the “about us” page on a business website.

If a company wants you know know about their background and their products, their overall reputation, would you now want to go back and talk to their previous customers?

Your customer reviews, or testimonials, should be placed or linked to your home page.  Maybe a few could be lead from or teased from your home page.  Then potential customers could be drawn to a specific testimonials page where they could read honest reviews.

A testimonial page is a nice way to let the potential customer see what the previous customer had to say. It lets a shopper feel at ease when they see that other buyers felt comfortable with their experience. Some may say they liked shopping on a particular website due to its ease of use and that may be a good thing to add to a testimonials page. Others may say they liked the company for their product, support team, staff, or any number of reasons.

Testimonials are effective because they lay things out honestly so that potential customers can read what previous customers have to say, then determine whether or not they like what those previous customers wrote. Many potential customers base decisions on what previous customers have to say. Some, however, do not. It is a matter of personal opinion, as with much on the web. But testimonial pages allow choices and they show opinion and thoughts – feedback. These are important things in business today.

Testimonial pages should be kept honest, unbiased and succinct. In other words, they should not go on and on in a rave review about a company and they should not slam a company. Testimonials should be honest and tell what a customer really thinks.

Before a review or testimonial is placed online, it should be tastefully edited as to content and then overviewed, possibly by a non-biased outside or third-party entity. If such a third-party does not exist, consider asking a person who has no interest in what is written one way or another to organize the content and make sure there is not too much in any one testimonial (not too much content in person “a” or “b’s” statement). That way each testimonial is fair and unbiased. It is not too difficult to do and any size company with shopper or customer feedback can begin to build a testimonial feedback to be proud of.

TIP: Try not to get too over-the-top or obsessive about your customer testimonials; it may become habitual to check on the page or see what shoppers are saying. Try to keep a level head. If you are a good business person, you will have good shoppers in your business and they will say good things about your company – no worries here.

In a nutshell, testimonial pages can be an asset to a company. They can be tasteful, honest, and tell a true tale of a good business. Build a good testimonial you can be proud of for a long time to come.

Guardhouses and Security Buildings

There is a need for security guardhouses more and more in today’s society. More companies, commercial locations and industries are in need of guardhouses and security buildings for their locations.

News reports have told of violence on school grounds and school campuses that make us all wonder about security in general. Secure check-points and armed security guards are becoming more common place. Secure parking lots and cameras are popping up everywhere. The use of security buildings and security in general is reaching a much higher level than before.

Individuals and companies looking for information on how security buildings are designed to suit their needs need to know how to have a secure structure that will have the best design and the best features for their them. It is important to find a company that knows the needs of the shopper and how best to help.

Make sure you get the specifics answered (Purchase Order questions, etc.) There could be requirements in your area and you want to know about all of these things in advance. For a good experience, a shopper should feel free to ask a salesperson plenty of questions. If you by chance forgot to ask anything, email or call back and ask again. Your salesperson might be busy but they should be willing and able to help you and be able to answer your questions.

It is always a good idea to do your homework; ask around and see what people in your field have to say. Check into the what you are interested in; find out if it is the right product for you and your business. Consider if the business you are shopping with is the right fit for your company. Asking questions will bring you answers that you will be much more satisfied to know in advance. You may have to do more legwork than you first set out to do, but you may end up with a higher quality product if you do, one that will likely pay off – and pay for itself – in the end.
